Field Trips / Guided Tours (Capitol Museum Tours) Capacity: 60

Description

Arizona Capitol Museum

Tours are free and available by reservation only.

We require a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 60 visitors per tour. Please refer to the Educator Resources page for more on school tours.

During school tour season (September - May), tours are offered Monday through Friday with two concurrent 45 minute tours beginning at 9:30, 10:15, 11:00, 12:00, 12:45, and 1:30. Morning tours (9:30 - 12:00) offer an optional 30 minute legislative tour of either the State Senate or House of Representatives.

Please gather outside of the museum. A guide will meet the group and complete a quick orientation before entering the building.

If the group arrives late to the scheduled tour time, the tour will be shortened and finish at originally designated time. Unfortunately, groups over thirty minutes late will be canceled. Feel free to self-guide and explore the museum.

Visitors are welcome to explore the Wesley Bolin Plaza across the street, check out exhibits in the museum south wing, or visit the Museum Store.

Lunches, water bottles, and backpacks may be stored in the storage room located in the north hall of the museum. Food may only be consumed in designated areas on the first floor of the museum.

Tour groups are encouraged to enjoy lunch and explore memorials in the Wesley Bolin Plaza in front of the Capitol Complex.

* Tours are not confirmed until you receive email approval for each request.
